We have taken down the Likes tab on the Get Social module for the time being, while we have further discussions with Facebook on their evolving Terms of Service.
Our goal is to ensure that our clients stay in full compliance with Facebook’s TOS. Once we have clarity from Facebook on a methodology we are certain meets their current TOS, we will seek to relaunch an easy method of rewarding points for a Like.
In the meantime, we strongly recommend use of ‘Fan-Gated’ Digital Ivy Facebook contests to drive more Likes for yourself or a client. These sweeps or UGC contests can be set up directly in Facebook to require a Like in order to enter, and are a powerful way of driving more Facebook Likes.

Release Notes – 1/18/11
A new version of our software was released on the 18th. This release contains both fixes and enhancements. Here’s what’s been updated in this release…
Enhancement: Contest API – We added an API method ‘LoadActiveContests’. This can be called for a specific site and will return the name, unique ID, points for entry (if applicable), start date, end date, and direct URL for all active contests on that site.
Enhancement: Email registration widget – You can now create a signup form for email and newsletters that can be deployed on your website. The code for the widget can be generated in the Stickyfish and Fanclub admin console and allows you to specify any subscription that you want users to sign up for. The link to this new functionality is found under the ‘Mass Email’ menu.
Fixed: Featured contest carousel – Fixed issue that the links in the featured contest carousel on Stickyfish and Fanclub sites were displaying below the images instead of above. (more…)
