Summer time is right around the corner and we are winding up to launch the Summer Predictive games. Minor Release Notes – 4/20/09

A new version of our software was released on the 20th.  This release contains both fixes and minor enhancements.  Here's what's been updated in this release…

Enhancements: Music test help text – Several new pieces of help text have been added to parts of the music test setup and reporting screens to improve the user experience.  These include instructions about how to effectively search the hook library and when test results are updated.

Enhancements: Default Subscription Group Image – A default image has been added to any subscription groups on your site that do not currently have images.  This improves the look of the page for groups that you have not yet customized.

Fixed: Music test report filtering – The zip/postal code filter for music test reports had a minor display issue.  This has been corrected.

Fixed: Music test hook request – The process for requesting hooks that were not found in the library was not being executed properly.  This was identified and corrected.    

Fixed: Fanclub template display – A minor display issue was discovered on the Games ‘n eCards page of the Fanclub template.  This was corrected.

Fixed:
Music test report filtering – The preset age groups for use in filtering music test reports were not operating correctly.  The underlying issue was identified and corrected.

Fixed: Link on Fanclub template – An incorrect link was found in part of the fanclub template.  This was corrected.    

Fixed: Log-in error on Fanclub template – In certain situations the login functionality on the Fanclub template was not operating correctly.  This was identified and corrected.

Enhancements: Presentation of email subscriptions – You can now add graphics to your email subscriptions and email subscription groups.  The ability to group subscriptions has also been greatly enhanced.  Click Here to see the full blog post.

Enhancement: Marquees – The featured prize and featured survey marquees that are part of the Fanclub template have been modified so that they do not display when empty.

The emails and offers page in your program has been enhanced with a better layout and the ability to display subscription-specific graphics. You can now upload a graphic for each subscription or subscription group. These enhancements greatly increase the effectiveness of your subscription offerings with better separation and visual appeal.

You will find a new menu item in the admin engine to allow you to more easily create and manage subscription groups. Just look for the “Email Subscription Groups” submenu under ‘Mass Email’.

Major Release Notes – 4/7/09

A new version of our software was released on the 7th.  This release contains major enhancements.  Here's what's been updated in this release…

Enhancements: Customizing contest rules – If you have our new Contest Module, you can now replace the standard contest rules with a contest-specific version on a contest by contest basis.  You can do this without creating additional links to a second set of rules as the links to rules built into the contest pages will automatically link to your customized version.

Enhancement: Offline contests – If you have our new Contest Module, you can now create a contest that has no online method of entry.  Just click on Advanced Settings from the Contest Settings screen and check the box for 'offline contest'.  This will remove any online method of entry and you can use your contest description to inform contest players how they can enter (e.g. by tuning into your broadcast or visiting a retail location).

Enhancement:
Outlier filtering for Music Tests – The outlier filtering functionality is now part of the music testing engine.  This allows you to identify and exclude from your reports responses from individuals that may be purposely trying to throw off your test results.

A new version of our software was released on the 1st of April.  This release contains fixes and minor enhancements.  Here's what's been updated in this release…

Enhancements: Music test engine – The music testing engine was released from Beta testing.  Several minor issues discovered during the beta test were fixed and the product was officially rolled out with this release.  See the full blog post by clicking here.

Enhancement: Adding members to a new subscription – Ever created a new subscription and wished you could subscribe everyone in your database (who has agreed to receive email from you) with the click of a button?  Now you can.  New subscriptions now feature an auto-subscribe button for this purpose.  This button can only be used once per subscription.  See the blog post about this functionality by clicking here.

Fixed: Member points adjustment – When adjusting a member’s points in the administrative engine using Firefox a bug was causing the points adjustment to be doubled.  This has been fixed.

Fixed: RSS feeds – The links for members to incorporate RSS feeds of the rewards pages into their own personalized homepage (iGoogle, myAOL, etc) were not functioning properly.  This has been fixed.

Fixed: Trivia recurring sets in Firefox – A bug was discovered for setting up recurring trivia sets in the administrative engine using Firefox.  This resulted in the page not scrolling properly.  This has been corrected.

Fixed: Quickstats report – The Quickstats report was generating an error when accessed.  This has been corrected.

Fixed: Custom contest hyperlinks – It was discovered that when you insert 2 or more links in a custom contest page that only the first link clicked works.  The bug was identified and fixed.

Fixed: Downloading lists – In certain situations administrators were unable to export an email list.  This has been fixed.

Fixed:
Fulfillment lock reset in Firefox – The button to reset the restriction on a member who has won a prize from using their points for the defined win limit period was not working in Firefox.  This has been fixed.

Fixed: Get More Info setup – The image override option was not working properly in the setup screen for a Get More Info instance.  This has been fixed.

We have had several requests lately to add the capability to auto-subscribe your opted-in database to new subscriptions as they are created. With the latest software update this is now available. Many of our clients are setting up subscriptions for "E-deal" advertiser special offer emails where the database is sent high value special offers from advertisers. This would be a great place to apply this new feature.

To create a populated subscription, follow the normal steps to create the subscription in the Admin, then click the new "Auto-Subscribe" button. All members who are opted-in to receive email will then be subscribed to the list.
