One of our clients, The Big 96.3 ( KSCS in Dallas, TX) recently wrapped up a promotion that made great use of the Custom Contest engine! The promotion involved one lucky rewards member having a brand new refrigerator fully stocked with groceries delivered to their home by none other than country star Darryl Worley and his bandmates!

Why did this work so well?

First, they did a great job of completely integrating the contest…they promoted it on air, created prominent graphics on their home site, and of course created a completely branded full page custom contest using their Rewards platform.

Second, they very shrewdly made the first entry to the contest a simple click to enter, which expands the relevance of the contest to more segments of the audience, some who may not care about getting and using points, but want to be a part of the contest. They also then had subsequent entries that listeners could purchase with points, a nice invitation to new members to become a part of the point earning commuity.

Finally, they followed through with a very touching video of the prize  being delivered, automatically conveying the benefit statement of their Big Rewards program. Who wouldn’t want a big star to play for over an hour in their living room?!
