One of the fundamental challenges of all websites is to direct visitors to the content areas that you want them to see. Rewards clubs are no different. The primary content in a rewards club, not surprisingly, is the “rewards”. Most listeners join rewards clubs because they want the prizes that are being given away. So the challenge is how to communicate what prizes are available in a way that is informative, attractive, and also easy to interact with. We have a great solution – the Contest List Page.
The Contest List Page is a page that you link to from your main site. It is not “a part of” the rewards club in the sense that it does not have the same skin design and it is not navigated to from the rewards pages. However, it is does contain an easy way for listeners/viewers to navigate to various prizing within the rewards club. Not only that, but it also gives you an opportunity to feature prizes and/or contests that you are currently running on the air that are not a part of the rewards club. For your listeners/viewers it is an easy to use, visually pleasing, one-stop-shop for all of your contests. Best of all, if you have upgraded to the new contesting engine it is already built into the Enticent admin at no additional cost.
To create a Contest List Page log into the admin at http://admin.enticent.com. Click on Prizing and then on Contest List. There are 3 tabs for Contest List. The first is “Contest List Editor” and allows you to change the background color of the page and also allows you to add a header to the page. The second tab is “Current Contests”. This is where you can control which contests are featured in the Contest List Page. You can also load up images (180×150 pixels) for your contests here. (Note: 180×150 images can also be uploaded when you create the contest in the contest module.) The final tab is called “Order Contests” and allows you to choose the display order of your contests. When you are finished setting up your Contest List Page click Save/Publish in the upper right hand corner. This will show you the direct link you will need to access the page. Add this link to your main site in an obvious way – perhaps as part of your main navigation bar. You will now have an easy to use, visually pleasing, and very informative page for your listeners to interact with.
